Help us reach our Goal!
We have initiated a capital fund raising campaign to raise funds to build our American Legion Post in Chapin, SC. The Post has already purchased a 5.7-acre lot at 230 Amicks Ferry Road, Chapin for our future home. While the Post is actively seeking pledges from the membership, we will need the assistance of our community in order to make this project a reality.
Chapin American Legion Post 193 was established in 1998 and met at Crooked Creek Park for ten years. We then moved to the old Lexington County fire station in downtown Chapin where we currently meet. Our Charter included fifty-five Veterans; we now have over 276 members and have outgrown our leased facility. A new Post home will allow increased support to Veterans and the community.
Over the past three years we have supported numerous Veterans and community activities. The link below will take you to a representative list of the support we provide. We hope you will help support the Building Fund so that we may not only continue to support these great Veterans and community activities but allow us to increase the scope and depth of our support to these worthy missions. Chapin American Legion Post 193 is a non-profit IRC 501(c)(19) and contributions may be tax deductible.

On 16 October 2020 Chapin American Legion Post 193 purchased the property on which our future Post home will be located. This was a big step but only the first of many that will require all of us to chip in and make our Future Post Home a reality
